A MOMENT IN CONNMARA begins with 50 year old Annie and her two closest friends relaxing in a pub after a day of touring in Ireland. The trip was supposed to be a 50th birthday present with husbands, but Annie's husband, after 30 years of marriage and 3 children, bowed out. He was in love with another woman. Annie, after a concerted effort to change his mind without success, drew a deep breath and decided to take the trip anyway. This begins a delightful, romantic and heartwarming story of persistence, hope and new love at the least expected time. Those who believe "those heroes in romance novels don't exist" will find that Noel Quinn, an Irishman from Cork, fits the bill. It is his story and Annie's that will keep you turning the pages, hoping against hope that these two people will have their happy ending. If you love Ireland, if you love romance, if you love uplifting stories, you will love Annie Quinn's autobiography of her years with Noel.
I could not put this book down until I read it all! If you want to see that true love and happiness are not impossible to find after such heartbreaks in life, then be sure to read this true story. You will experience all the emotions of the author while reading her beautifully written story and wish you could have known the wonderful man who was the love of her life.
